## Description

Support 4 Change is a registered charity providing support to people affected by someone else’s alcohol or drug use. Its group meetings offer a welcoming setting for family members and others to share experiences, build mutual trust, and learn practical ways to support the person experiencing substance-related difficulties while also looking after themselves.

The group meets on Mondays in Doncaster, except on bank holidays, from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m., and on Saturdays in Thorne from 10 a.m. to noon. Members can access information about factors associated with alcohol and drug problems, as well as a WhatsApp support network and one-to-one phone calls. Meetings also provide a safe space to talk about feelings and experiences, with free refreshments and snacks.

Support 4 Change includes complementary therapies, meditation, and creative visualisation among its activities, and group members decide on planned outings and social activities together. The organisation’s approach combines shared knowledge, emotional support, relaxation, and opportunities to connect with others. It can be contacted by phone or email for further information.
