## Description

Supporting Wounded Veterans (SWV) is a UK charity helping former service personnel recover from physical and emotional injuries, rediscover purpose and build a positive future. It offers tailored support based on each veteran’s needs and goals, bringing together sports rehabilitation, mentoring, pain management, mental health support and practical pathways into occupation, training or employment. Its programmes also include the Veteran Rivers Task Force and Veteran Support Network.

SWV reports that 90% of veterans joining its programmes move into occupation, training or employment. Alongside direct support, the charity develops innovative rehabilitation approaches and is helping advance UK research into MDMA-assisted therapy for veterans with PTSD, particularly those who have not responded to established treatments.

Veterans and their families can access support, while members of the public can contribute by donating, volunteering, mentoring, fundraising or taking part in events and challenges. Through long-term guidance, specialist programmes and community connections, Supporting Wounded Veterans aims to help veterans rebuild their lives and create lasting benefits beyond its own programmes.
