Welcome to Suquamish United Church of Christ in Suquamish, WA! We are a Progressive Christian Community that believes in the existence of God, an entity that can be sensed but never fully grasped by the mind. We engage with this Sacred Mystery both as an essential part of our being and in our relationships. At Suquamish United Church of Christ, we believe that God continues to reveal the power of life through creation, healing, and relationships of love throughout history. We see the Divine as living within us, breathing through us, and shaping our thoughts. We understand sin as ignorance of our essential divine nature. Our faith journey is centered around recognizing our true nature, much like Jesus (Yeshua) realized his identity as the Christ, Child of God. We turn to sacred texts, including the Bible, to inspire and challenge us as we explore our spirituality. We believe in compassionate service to our community and the world, guided by our deep inner connection with the Divine. We respect and celebrate the diversity of individual experiences and understandings within the Christian tradition.
