## Description

The International Surf Film Festival Anglet is a cultural event dedicated to celebrating the creativity and artistry of surf cinema. Founded in 2004 by Bruno Delaye, the festival was created to bring greater visibility to surf films and introduce them to a wider audience. Over time, it has established itself as an artistic and cultural gathering in Anglet, France.

The 22nd edition is scheduled for August 19–22, 2026, at the Chambre d’Amour, facing the ocean. Across four days, visitors can enjoy free screenings of films in competition on giant screens, alongside concerts, exhibitions, a partner village and a conference. The programme features two screening sites and events throughout the festival, including opening and closing ceremonies.

An international jury drawn from the worlds of surfing and visual media selects award-winning films across seven categories. The festival showcases productions from filmmakers and artists, while bringing together audiences, surf enthusiasts and the wider creative community. It also encourages lower-impact travel, highlighting options such as public transport, carpooling and cycling for reaching the event.
