## Description

Surprise is a non-governmental organization (NGO) established in 1998, dedicated to supporting socially disadvantaged individuals in Switzerland. The organization provides a range of services that include employment opportunities, daily support, and counseling to help those in need. Surprise offers a unique street magazine that covers critical topics in society, politics, economics, and culture, promoting independent journalism.

In addition to the magazine, Surprise organizes social city tours in Basel, Bern, and Zurich, offering participants a new perspective on urban life and its inhabitants. Programs like street soccer and a choir initiative empower marginalized individuals to reclaim their place in society, fostering community and connection. Surprise also runs workshops and various events, engaging the public with themes of social justice and inclusion.

Through tangible resources such as the Surprise shop and opportunities for people to sell the street magazine, the organization not only generates income for vendors but also builds a supportive community. Surprise is committed to making a meaningful impact through its diverse offerings and services.
