## Description

Susan Rowland is an author, novelist, and professor whose work brings together Jungian psychology, creativity, literature, and mystery fiction. With degrees from Oxford University and Birkbeck College and a PhD in Literature from Newcastle University, she formerly taught English and Jungian Studies at the University of Greenwich in London. Since emigrating to the United States in 2009, she has taught in Pacifica Graduate Institute’s programs in Engaged Humanities, Creativity, and Jungian and Archetypal Studies.

Rowland has written ten books exploring the psychology of the creative imagination and the feminine through Jungian perspectives. Her titles include Jungian Arts-Based Research and “The Nuclear Enchantment of New Mexico,” a guide to approaches that connect Jungian ideas with arts-based research. She also writes the Mary Wandwalker Mysteries, a cozy mystery series that includes The Sacred Well Murders, The Alchemy Fire Murder, and Murder on Family Grounds.
