# Susteau - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `susteau.com` - **Founded:** 2017 - **Employees:** 2+ - **Location:** New York, New York, United States - **Company kind:** PRIVATELY HELD ## Description Susteau is a brand committed to revolutionizing the beauty industry by offering liquid personal care products that are completely waterless. By eliminating water from their formulations, Susteau not only saves water but also reduces energy consumption and materials throughout the supply chain. Transparency is a core value for Susteau, as they strive to provide honest information about their products and practices. One of the standout features of Susteau is their packaging. While most personal care brands use custom colors for their packaging, which can add unnecessary weight, Susteau goes against the norm. Their bottles are made with over 95% ocean-bound, recycled plastic, emphasizing their commitment to sustainability. The brand name, Susteau, perfectly captures their mission. It is derived from sustainability and the French word for water, eau. Founder Kailey, with a background in chemical engineering, took on the challenge of creating waterless haircare products. The result was the iconic Moondust Hair Wash, which lasts longer and performs just as luxuriously as traditional products. Susteau encourages consumers to reimagine their personal care routines and join them in their journey towards a more sustainable future.
