## Description

Suzie Zuzek is a renowned American contemporary artist celebrated for her captivating designs that formed the visual backbone of American Resort Wear. Her legacy was brought into the limelight thanks to the unwavering dedication of Becky Smith, a Saint Louis lawyer, who discovered Zuzek's story in 2007. After leading a private investment group to acquire Zuzek's original works and intellectual property in 2016, Smith ensured that Zuzek's oeuvre would be saved from obscurity and loss.

The collection includes over 1,500 watercolor paintings that Zuzek created for Key West Hand Print Fabrics, Inc., used by Lilly Pulitzer from 1962 to 1985. These designs resonate with lasting emotional significance, appealing to consumers across generations. Suzie Zuzek's artistry, now rigorously cataloged to museum standards, is not only a celebration of American culture but also connects today's Millennials and Gen Z to timeless heritage. The journey of Zuzek’s work reflects authenticity and quality, making it a vital part of contemporary art narratives.
