## Description

Svenja Steinke is a Berlin-based disability inclusion activist, freelance speaker, peer adviser, and consultant. Drawing on her lived experience as a wheelchair user who relies on personal assistance, she advocates for the rights of people with disabilities and their ability to lead self-determined lives. Her work encourages people with and without disabilities to challenge prejudice and remove barriers through practical action.

Steinke offers workshops, talks, and consultations on personal assistance, leadership in the employer model, inclusion and accessibility, and parenthood and disability. She also provides guidance for people facing difficult life circumstances, including support with everyday challenges, relationships, referrals to professional services, and accompaniment to appointments by arrangement. Her sessions explore how personal assistance differs from care, how to manage an assistant team, and how inclusion can be put into practice.

Since beginning her freelance work in 2022, Steinke has delivered talks, including at Humboldt University of Berlin, and has contributed to peer-led community initiatives.
