## Description

Stichting Verslavingsreclassering GGZ (SVG), known as Verslavingsreclassering GGZ, is a Dutch probation organization focused on combining criminal justice supervision with care. Across the Netherlands, more than 800 probation workers help people with addiction and psychiatric challenges who have offended to reintegrate into society and build a new life. The organization works throughout the criminal justice process, balancing public safety and support. It can guide clients toward treatment for alcohol or drug dependence while monitoring risks of further offending.

SVG’s services include advice, supervision, community service sentences, forensic care, behavioral interventions, and work related to domestic violence and child abuse. Its work also includes alcohol monitoring through the Alcoholmeter, electronic monitoring, and victim-aware practice. Through these services, SVG seeks to encourage lasting behavioral change and help clients reconnect with everyday life while contributing to a safer society. The organization shares information about its mission, research, news, client experiences, and developments in probation and forensic care.
