## Description

The Royal Danish Navy is the maritime service of the Danish Defence, responsible for protecting Denmark’s interests at sea within the Kingdom of Denmark and through international operations. Its ships patrol across the realm, including areas around Greenland and the Faroe Islands, and contribute to Denmark’s security and international commitments. The Navy also supports wider civil needs, drawing on its vessels and specialist expertise for tasks such as combating oil pollution and assisting the police and customs authorities.

Its four squadrons cover a broad range of responsibilities, from operations in Denmark’s coastal waters and straits to missions in the North Atlantic and elsewhere around the world.
