## Description

Savonlinnan Verkkopalloseura (SVS) is a tennis club in Savonlinna, Finland, offering tennis activities and coaching for players of different ages and skill levels. Founded in 1937, the club welcomes beginners, recreational players, and juniors aiming to compete, with an emphasis on enjoyable participation and skill development.

Its coaching programmes include tennis play activities for children aged three to five, mini and midi tennis for younger players, and recreational groups for children and adults. Junior pathways range from introductory sessions to advanced groups and competitive training. Competition-focused players follow seasonal programmes and receive individual development plans created with input from the player, coach, and family. Adults can choose from several ability-based coaching groups.

SVS also organises national competitions and team activities, and invites people to join the club or register for groups. Members receive reduced coaching prices, a 50% discount on outdoor court fees, affordable seasonal passes, and discounts on entry fees for the club’s competitions. The club also provides support toward junior participation costs in national tournaments.
