## Description

SWA – the Portuguese Association of Street Workout and Parkour – was officially founded on December 3, 2012, by enthusiasts of urban sports and freedom of movement. With an inclusive, cosmopolitan outlook, the association presents these disciplines as more than physical activities: they can encourage balance, discipline, confidence and personal growth, while supporting social connection and community development.

SWA promotes, teaches and develops Street Workout and Parkour in Portugal and internationally, with a focus on involving children, young people and its members. Its activities include Parkour, where participants learn skills such as rolling, jumping and climbing, and Street Workout, which combines calisthenics, strength movements and technical exercises performed outdoors. Training can build strength, coordination, posture and progression in skills such as muscle-ups, front levers and handstands. The organisation also lists consulting, installation and assembly services, and identifies Academia Eu+ in Braga. Based in Braga, SWA pursues projects intended to support social integration, well-being and lasting positive impact in communities.
