# Swanland Heritage - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `swanlandheritage.info` ## Description Swanland Heritage Centre is a not-for-profit voluntary association established in March 2013 to preserve and share the history of Swanland and its surrounding area. Based in the former library room of The Institute, near the village pond, the centre grew from materials gathered by the Swanland History Group while preparing three volumes on village history. Its collection includes photographs, documents, books, maps and transcripts, which volunteers help catalogue and make accessible to visitors and researchers. The centre’s website extends this work through photo galleries, memories and interviews, historical records, maps, census searches, building histories and themed trails. Visitors can explore topics such as local schools, churches, shops, families, wartime life and village buildings. The centre also offers educational activities, including quizzes and colouring sheets, and shares local heritage through events and publications. Its shop features items such as calendars, greetings cards, postcards and books.
