## Description

Sweeney Architects is an Irish architecture practice established in 2006 by Ursula Hegarty and architect Nicholas Sweeney. With offices in Dublin and Longford, the firm aims to make the design and construction process easier through thoughtful, practical architectural services, from early design to project completion. Its team works closely with clients to create well-designed buildings that are cost-conscious and carefully managed.

The practice provides support with planning permission, fire safety and disability access certification, assigned certifier services, conservation reports and property inspections. It also acts as Project Supervisor Design Process, helping projects meet safety and regulatory requirements. Sweeney Architects has a particular interest in conservation and heritage, working to protect and enhance historic buildings while adapting them for modern standards and future use.

Its projects span civic, conservation, education, healthcare, hospitality and residential settings, including social housing. Examples featured by the practice include Saints Island Historic Church Ruin in Longford, Mullagh Housing in Cavan, the Royal Hospital Donnybrook, and libraries and schools in Leitrim and Roscommon.
