## Description

Sweet Cherry Publishing is an award-winning independent children’s book publisher based in the UK. With a mission to break down socio-economic barriers to access, Sweet Cherry Publishing believes that all children should have access to great stories. Inspired by its Leicester heritage, where literacy rates are among the lowest in the country, Sweet Cherry Publishing is dedicated to making reading fun and accessible for everyone. Founded in 2011 by Abdul Thadha, Sweet Cherry Publishing specializes in publishing books that are easier to read with plenty of illustrations, allowing children to smoothly follow along with the stories. In addition to its commitment to accessibility, Sweet Cherry Publishing prioritizes diversity and inclusivity. Led by a team comprised of the global majority, the company offers secure, full-time employment to over 50 warehouse operatives in the ethnically diverse Highfields area of Leicester. With its dedication to making reading a universal pleasure, Sweet Cherry Publishing is making a positive impact in the world of children’s literature.
