## Description

Swept Away is a Broadway musical inspired by the music of The Avett Brothers. Its story follows a crew of sailors on a whaling expedition whose ship capsizes, leaving them to confront difficult choices and depend on one another to survive. The production combines a dramatic tale of endurance with a score featuring songs by The Avett Brothers.

The musical’s creative team includes Tony Award winner John Logan, who wrote the book, and Tony Award winner Michael Mayer, who directed. Its cast included Tony Award winner John Gallagher Jr., two-time Tony nominee Stark Sands, Adrian Blake Enscoe, and Wayne Duvall. Swept Away played at the Longacre Theatre and gave its final Broadway performance on December 29, 2024.

The official website offers information about the production and its team, music from the Broadway cast, and an official music video. Visitors can also sign up for news and updates. An original Broadway cast recording was announced for preorder ahead of its planned February 2025 release.
