## Description

Sworn is a public government accountability data platform that compares official government promises with measured outcomes. It covers 217 countries, with scores for 192, and links 4,000 commitments to metrics that can be checked against official data. The platform draws on sources including the World Bank, WHO, ILO, FAO, UNESCO, IMF, UNICEF, Transparency International, and Reporters Without Borders. Its data is free to use under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license.

Visitors can explore country scores and rankings on an interactive world map, review country profiles, compare countries, and track changes over time. Sworn also highlights countries whose scores have improved or declined and shows progress on commitments as achieved, on track, failing, broken, or otherwise tracked. A plain-language research tool answers questions using source-cited information from the selected institutions rather than the open internet. The site provides three free research messages per day, alongside its public data, methodology, API, and reference resources.
