# SWPACA - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `swpaca.org` ## Description The Southwest Popular/American Culture Association (SWPACA) is an academic organization that brings together scholars, writers, and others interested in popular and American culture. Its mission is to advance an innovative, nontraditional humanities and social sciences movement, celebrate America’s cultural heritages, and increase understanding of the country’s cultural traditions and diverse populations. SWPACA supports this work by providing a professional network and hosting an annual academic conference, where participants submit proposals, present research, and engage with subject areas spanning popular and American cultural studies. It also publishes Dialogue: The Interdisciplinary Journal of Popular Culture and Pedagogy, an open-source, peer-reviewed journal. For emerging and early-career professionals, the association offers conference travel grants, paper awards, and professional development opportunities, including the Michael K. Schoenecke Leadership Institute. Its programming also includes a virtual Summer Salon alongside its in-person conference. SWPACA provides resources for presenters, moderators, area chairs, and international participants, as well as information about registration, exhibiting, and conference attendance. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Social Sciences _(under Science and Education)_ - 🧪 Education _(under Science and Education)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/southwestpca) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/southwestpca) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idaO0NaWZQ/w/788/h/288/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1792308184010) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idaO0NaWZQ/w/576/h/576/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1792308184211) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Sunflower | #e4c520 | accent | | Maroon | #871400 | dark | | Cherokee | #fdd79a | light | ## Fonts - Open Sans — asset _(google)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
