## Description

Synake is an Aotearoa New Zealand tool development company creating conservation hardware and adaptive field systems for surveying, monitoring and protecting the country’s native fauna. Its products are designed and manufactured in New Zealand, with a focus on practical tools that support wildlife and make fieldwork easier.

The company’s Modular Lizard Refugia (MLRs) are standardised artificial retreats for lizards, or mokomoko. They can be configured in the field to provide habitat intended to support lizard survival, growth, reproduction and abundance across a range of sites. Synake also develops Ultralite Funnel Traps for surveying lizards in remote backcountry environments.
