# sysadminday.de | Essen - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `sysadminday.de` ## Description SysAdminDay is a dedicated celebration honoring System Administrators, initiated by Ted Kekatos in 2010 after he was inspired by a promotional campaign for the HP LaserJet 4000. Celebrated annually on the last Friday of July, this day acknowledges the vital role SysAdmins play in ensuring our digital lives run smoothly. Through its official website, SysAdminDay organizes a variety of engaging activities, such as the beloved "cake giveaway," where IT departments receive cakes to celebrate their hard work, and a postcard initiative to send gratitude and well-wishes. For 2025, SysAdminDay is seeking sponsors to expand these initiatives and introduce exciting new features. They also encourage fans to engage via social media, share photos, and contribute stories for potential comic adaptations. The website provides various resources, including an award certificate generator for celebrating SysAdmins. Join the movement to recognize and appreciate the unsung heroes of the tech world, ensuring they feel valued for their continuous support and dedication. ## Industries - 🎗 Community and Society - 🎗 Holidays and Seasonal Events _(under Community and Society)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/sysadminday.de) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idZ6ap3QZL/w/400/h/67/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1722701327708) - icon _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idZ6ap3QZL/w/180/h/180/theme/dark/icon.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1722701328059) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Shiraz | #b40f18 | accent | | Mine Shaft | #333333 | dark | | White | #ffffff | light | ## Fonts - var(--bs-body-font-family) — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
