## Description

The Szegedi Observatory introduces visitors to astronomy through public programs, telescope viewing and information about the night sky. Serving people interested in astronomy since 1985, it shares details about its history, observatory building, astronomers and astronomical instruments, helping visitors learn about the organisation and what they may see through its telescopes.

The observatory offers Friday evening opening sessions, as well as bookable and group programs. Its website provides a program calendar and booking information, ticket prices, and guidance on what to expect during a visit. Visitors can also follow astronomy news and events, including themed presentations and updates about discoveries and celestial topics.

Additional resources include a sky-viewing camera, weather information and links to astronomy organisations and research groups, such as the Hungarian Astronomical Association’s Szeged group and the University of Szeged Astrophysics Research Group. Through its visitor programs and educational resources, the Szegedi Observatory offers opportunities to explore astronomy and spend time observing the night sky.
