## Description

Diabetesseura T1D ry is a nationwide Finnish association focused on supporting people with type 1 diabetes. As a member association of the Finnish Diabetes Association, it works to help, engage and advocate for people living with the condition. Its activities are designed largely to be accessible regardless of members’ location, with online tools and communication channels supporting connection and information sharing.

The association offers membership, events, blog articles and the Ykkönen member magazine, as well as a web shop. Its programme creates opportunities for peer connection and wellbeing through diabetes meetups, a wellbeing weekend in Nuuksio, creative social gatherings and online lectures. The website also shares information about type 1 diabetes, including its causes and common symptoms, and provides introductory material on type 2 diabetes and other forms of diabetes. Recent updates highlight research gatherings and community events.

By combining practical information, social activities and advocacy, Diabetesseura T1D ry serves people with type 1 diabetes throughout Finland.
