## Description

Taco María, located in Costa Mesa, CA, is a brand that celebrates the rich culinary traditions of Mexican and American cultures. Inspired by the lost kitchens of generations past, Taco María combines traditional flavors with local produce and regional meats and seafood to create Alta California cuisine. This unique culinary style is the brainchild of Chef Carlos Salgado, who trained in Michelin-starred kitchens and is deeply rooted in Orange County. At Taco María, the foundation of their Mexican-inspired food is real corn. Chef Salgado nixtamalizes and processes all of their masa products in-house using heirloom varieties of corn sourced from small family farms in Mexico. This commitment to quality ingredients and traditional techniques has garnered Taco María numerous accolades, including Michelin Stars and James Beard Award nominations. For a truly immersive experience, we recommend watching the Emmy award-winning episode of KCET's The Migrant Kitchen titled Alta California, which dives deeper into Taco María's menus and story. If you're in search of an extraordinary dining experience that celebrates heritage and craftsmanship, Taco María is the perfect destination.
