## Description

The Atmospheric Fund (TAF) is a regional climate organization working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. It invests in practical, low-carbon solutions and helps expand their adoption to support the region’s goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050. TAF uses several approaches to advance this work. It invests its endowment in carbon-reducing projects, provides grants to organizations developing climate solutions, and runs programs that research and test approaches while informing government policy. Its work includes building emissions, clean energy, transportation, and other sources of regional emissions. TAF also publishes resources such as carbon emissions inventories, policy analyses, and assessments to help communities and decision-makers identify priorities and develop effective responses. The organization collaborates with public, private, and community partners, offering expertise on initiatives such as emissions frameworks and building performance standards. Based in Toronto, TAF aims to make climate action practical, inclusive, and capable of delivering broader benefits for the region.
