## Description

Taivalvaara Trail Run is a trail-running event in Koillismaa, Finland, held at Taivalvaara Ski Resort in Taivalkoski. The event is presented as the culmination of the traditional Päätaloviikko and invites participants to experience the area’s rugged, scenic forest and fell landscapes. The 2026 event is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, starting at noon, with routes of 7, 14, and 35 kilometres. Participants may also complete the route on foot, making the event accessible beyond runners seeking a competitive challenge.

The programme extends beyond the trails. Official after-event gatherings take place at the Taivalvaara slope restaurant, where visitors can enjoy food and refreshments. The event listing also features live music, including a performance by rapper Talonpoika Lalli, alongside other entertainment in the area. Taivalvaara Trail Run provides participant information, route details, event guidance, results, and opportunities for businesses to collaborate. Organized around outdoor activity and local scenery, it offers visitors a chance to combine a sporting challenge with a lively community event in Taivalkoski.
