## Description

Take Action SC is an environmental education partnership that connects state agencies, colleges and universities, schools, and other organizations to promote environmental awareness across South Carolina. Its members believe education helps protect and preserve the environment for future generations. The partnership encourages teachers and students to explore environmental issues, solve problems, and take practical action, building understanding and supporting informed, responsible decisions.

Its resources and programs include Action for a Cleaner Tomorrow, a curriculum supplement developed from a South Carolina perspective and aligned with the state’s College and Career-Ready Science Standards. The curriculum has received national awards and recognition. Take Action SC also offers teacher workshops, classroom presentations, a teacher toolkit, curriculum updates, and other educational materials. Through its Student Ambassadors for Sustainability Program, students can participate in sustainability projects. The partnership additionally shares student action reports and video resources, and provides information on topics such as battery safety. By bringing educators and students together with partner organizations, Take Action SC supports learning and engagement in environmental issues, including litter prevention and energy conservation.
