## Description

Tamil Expats (Indian Nationals) Mandram (TEM) is a nonprofit organization established in Kuala Lumpur in December 2017 to support Tamil expatriates in Malaysia. The organization reports a community of around 400 families and 1,000 members. Its work focuses on preserving Tamil cultural heritage and fostering friendship and understanding among Tamil people.

TEM promotes cultural, educational, and social activities, and aims to establish community support in Malaysian regions without similar organizations. It also raises and collects funds and donations, independently or in cooperation with other nonprofit groups, for charitable activities. Its programs include periodic Tamil cultural and educational events and medical awareness initiatives.

TEM organizes community events for different ages and interests, including children’s celebrations, cultural performances, music competitions, food and crafts carnivals, and walkathons. Examples listed on its website include Super Singer Season 1, Chinnathirai Natchathira Kalai Vizha, a Children’s Day event, a Women’s Day food and crafts carnival, and a walkathon supporting the Save DELTA cause.
