## Description

Tampereen Parkinson-yhdistys ry is a Finnish nonprofit association supporting people with Parkinson’s disease and their families. Founded in 1987, it was the country’s first regional Parkinson’s support association. Its work focuses on helping members manage everyday life and adjust to changes associated with the condition, while sharing information about available services and support.

The association provides peer support, advice and information, and arranges presentations, discussion sessions, member gatherings and recreational activities. Its Tampere premises, known as Parkkistupa, host many activities and are available to rent to members and external groups. The association also sells selected products, including sliding sheets and condolence cards.
