## Description

Tanbou (Tambour) is a Haitian trilingual journal of political and literary studies, published by Trilingual Press, a collective publication and publishing house based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Founded in 1994, the journal presents its work in Haitian Creole, French, and English, bringing together perspectives on Haiti, its diaspora, and wider cultural and political issues. Its archive spans decades of editions, reflecting a sustained commitment to literature, public debate, and Haitian cultural life.

Tanbou publishes articles, essays, poetry, book presentations, interviews, and tributes, alongside commentary on politics, language, history, and the arts. Recent and archival content features Haitian and diaspora writers, artists, and public figures, as well as discussions of topics ranging from Creolophone literature and inclusive writing to international affairs. The journal also highlights visual arts projects and works by individual authors, and provides readers with Haitian bibliographies, biographical notes, and links to related cultural and news resources. Through its website, Tanbou offers access to current and past issues and invites readers to support the publication and purchase books from Trilingual Press.
