## Description

TankPilot is a fuel-price comparison service developed by a small team in Germany to help drivers find cheaper places and times to refuel. Its website and Android app provide live prices for E5, E10 and diesel at more than 25,000 stations across Germany, Austria and France. The prices come from official sources, including Germany’s Market Transparency Unit for Fuels, Austria’s E-Control and France’s data.economie.gouv.fr.

Users can search for nearby stations, save favourites and set price alerts by push notification or email. A tank logbook tracks fuel use and costs, while a receipt scanner can add details from photographed receipts. Premium features include immediate push alerts, extended price history and statistics, and an advertising-free experience. TankPilot also offers a route planner for locating lower-priced refuelling and charging stops, plus information about charging stations.

Core price comparisons and map features are free to use without registration. The service is available in a browser and as an Android app, with a web app designed for mobile home screens.
