## Description

The Encyclopedia of Biographies and Notable Figures is an Arabic reference project focused on people and their lives. It presents itself as one of the largest Arabic databases of biographical entries, bringing together more than 225,000 profiles of Arab figures, Arabized figures, and Orientalists. Its collection is built from more than 80 books by 60 authors, providing a broad body of material for readers seeking biographical information and historical reference.

Visitors can search the database for notable people and browse dedicated sections for figures, books, and authors. The site highlights popular searches, including Ibn Khaldun and Umar ibn al-Khattab, to help users find prominent subjects. It also invites visitors to submit questions, suggestions, or general messages, and provides privacy and terms-of-use information. By organizing biographical content alongside its source books and authors, the encyclopedia serves as a searchable resource for exploring the people represented in its collection.
