## Description

Tara Sansthan is a nonprofit organisation founded in 2009 by Kalpana Goyal in Udaipur, India, with a focus on supporting people facing poverty, isolation and other hardships. Its programmes provide care and practical assistance to older people, women and children from underprivileged communities.

The organisation runs free Anand Vridhashrams for destitute and unsupported senior citizens, offering accommodation, meals, clothing, medical care and a homely environment. It also operates Tara Netralaya charity eye hospitals in Udaipur, Delhi, Mumbai, Faridabad and Loni, and organises eye camps, general treatment and free cataract operations for people in need.

For children, Masti Ki Pathshala offers basic and computer education, arts and crafts, sports and other activities for children living in slum communities. Tara Sansthan also supports widows through monthly financial assistance and free schooling for their children at Shikhar Bhargava Public School. Its activities include food support for elderly residents, public fundraising, and educational and community initiatives, with donations helping sustain its care and services.
