## Description

Tarasha is an initiative dedicated to empowering rural craftpreneurs in India and helping them build sustainable businesses in modern markets. Launched during the pandemic to support craft communities facing threats to their livelihoods, the project combines craft promotion with practical business development. Its support spans design, marketing, business planning, digital skills and wider market access, helping artisans connect with customers and grow their enterprises.

Tarasha offers enterprise development, capacity-building workshops and market connections, and helps craftpreneurs establish online presence through website training and development. It also facilitates exhibitions and other opportunities to reach buyers. Visitors can discover products from artisans across India through categories including home décor, artifacts, accessories, gifting and upcycled goods, with purchases made directly through craftpreneurs’ websites.

The initiative nurtures artisans through training, expertise and knowledge sharing, while collaborations with designers and other partners contribute mentoring, product innovation, creative partnerships and digital visibility. Tarasha also organizes events for art enthusiasts and workshops for artisans seeking to develop their skills, bringing craft communities and wider audiences together.
