## Description

Tarn Moor Memorial Woodland Ltd is a natural woodland burial ground on the outskirts of Skipton, in the countryside known as the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Opened in 2002, the site offers an environmentally considerate alternative to conventional burial, creating a living memorial that contributes to woodland and wildlife habitat. Becky Blades and Chris Swales became the company’s directors in October 2019 and support families through the arrangements with care and respect.

The woodland provides a peaceful setting for laying loved ones to rest, including people and animals. The site does not use headstones or graveside flower vases, helping preserve its natural character. Although burial places are not physically marked, each is accurately plotted and recorded so families and future generations can locate it. Double graves are arranged at double depth to make more efficient use of the burial field. The company provides information about its services and current fees and welcomes enquiries. Please note that Tarn Moor does not accept reservations.
