# Funk Taxi Vereinigung Remscheid - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `taxi-remscheid.de` ## Description Taxizentrale Remscheid is the dispatch service of the Funk-Taxi-Vereinigung Remscheid, a legally recognized association founded on 2 August 1965. It brings together 21 member businesses operating a fleet of 39 vehicles, including saloon cars, estate cars and larger-capacity taxis. The central service maintains round-the-clock availability, helping customers arrange journeys at night, on Sundays and public holidays as well as during the day. Services include local taxi rides, airport transfers and a range of medical journeys. These include trips for dialysis, chemotherapy or radiotherapy, visits to a doctor or hospital, and travel to rehabilitation or spa treatment. Since 1995, the association has used a closed, fully automated two-way data radio system to coordinate bookings. This system replaced voice radio communication, reducing noise and helping protect the privacy of sensitive customer information while enabling taxis to be dispatched quickly and efficiently.
