## Description

Táxis Guimarães is the taxi service operated by Associação Taxistas Unidos de Guimarães (ATUG), an association founded in 1993 to represent taxi professionals in central Guimarães and provide dependable local transport. Since 1995, ATUG has run the city’s largest radio taxi dispatch centre, offering a permanent service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Its network includes 40 vehicles, each accommodating up to five passengers and equipped with air conditioning. The association describes its vehicles as clean, comfortable and maintained to support safe, responsible journeys.

Services include airport transfers, trips to restaurants and golf courses, journeys to destinations throughout Portugal and abroad, and tailored plans for businesses. The network also provides transport for people with reduced mobility, travel assistance through insurers, and support for conventions, conferences, congresses, weddings and other events. Passengers can arrange guided tourist circuits across Portugal, particularly in the Minho region, with drivers knowledgeable about local history and geography. Táxis Guimarães can be contacted by phone or email for bookings and service enquiries.
