## Description

The Országos Taxis Szövetség (National Taxi Association of Hungary, OTSZ) is a politically independent organization dedicated to representing and supporting taxi drivers across Hungary. Its predecessor, the National Association of Hungarian City Taxi Drivers, was founded in 1993. In 2007, the organization adopted a new structure and expanded its membership opportunities to taxi drivers nationwide.

OTSZ monitors issues affecting the taxi sector and works with regulators and decision-makers to address industry concerns and promote better regulation. It shares information, provides professional guidance, identifies obstacles to taxi drivers’ work, and supports initiatives that serve their interests. The association also offers a legal assistance service to members and helps with taxi vehicle procurement and the development of special pricing arrangements.

Through its website, OTSZ provides information about relevant legislation, industry news, partners, and association activities. It also shares updates on developments in transport and the automotive sector. The association is based in Budapest and invites taxi drivers and others to contact it for information about its work and support services.
