## Description

Taza Chocolate is a chocolate maker based in Somerville, Massachusetts, known for bold, organic chocolate with a distinctive, satisfyingly gritty texture. The company uses traditional Mexican stone mills, called molinos, to grind cacao with minimal processing, helping preserve the beans’ bright, fruity flavors. Its products are made with organic, Direct Trade Certified cacao, and the brand emphasizes sourcing that supports quality, transparency, and fairer prices for farmers.

Taza offers chocolate bars, discs, snacks, gift assortments, and bulk and baking products. Its range includes dark chocolate in cacao strengths from 70% to 100%, as well as chocolate-covered cranberries and Mexican hot chocolate. Customers can shop online, find Taza products in stores, or visit its factory store in Somerville. The company also offers factory tours, private tours, wholesale purchasing, recipes, and a rewards program. Taza describes its chocolate as non-GMO, gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan, making it an option for people seeking plant-based treats or chocolate made with minimal processing.
