## Description

Thoroughbred Breeders Australia (TBA) is the national peak body established for the benefit of the Australian thoroughbred breeding industry. With a membership base of 4,200 individual breeders and other industry participants, TBA plays a vital role in supporting and advancing the second largest thoroughbred breeding industry in the world.

Australia boasts a remarkable number of mares (21,500) and stallions (700) that surpasses those in other established breeding countries such as the UK, Ireland, Japan, and New Zealand. TBA is also the parent company of the six state breeders' associations, further solidifying their commitment to the industry.

TBA's members are proud contributors to their rural communities, creating jobs, driving investments, and supporting a wide range of related professions. Sustainability is at the core of their practices, as breeders strive to ensure the preservation of their land for future generations.

Funded through a small levy paid by vendors, TBA works tirelessly to protect and advance the Australian thoroughbred breeding industry. Contact them today to learn more about their initiatives and how you can be a part of this thriving industry.
