Teachers' Treasures is a brand that has been helping Indianapolis teachers support underprivileged students since 2000. Founded by retired school principal Phyllis Imel, Teachers' Treasures provides a free store for teachers where educators can obtain essential school supplies and materials at no cost. Initially located in the basement of Washington Community School, the organization quickly outgrew its space, prompting a move to a larger location on E.

10th Street leased by Kroger. Today, Teachers' Treasures continues its mission to ensure that all eligible teachers in Marion County have easy access to free school supplies for their students living in poverty. Through partnerships with businesses, foundations, and individual contributors, the organization operates a volunteer-based store where donated educational supplies are distributed to teachers.

With more than 100,000 students impacted each year and a value of $75 million worth of school supplies given away since its establishment, Teachers' Treasures plays a vital role in supporting teachers and improving educational opportunities for Indianapolis students in need
