Teach For Liberia

Teach For Liberia is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the cause of K-12 education in post-war Liberia. Our mission is to mobilize leaders who will drive the movement towards educational equity and excellence in Liberia. We believe that every child deserves access to a quality education that will set them up for a successful future.

Our model begins with the recruitment of high achieving young professionals who display a long-term commitment to uplifting Liberia. These fellows undergo intensive training at a pre-service institute to learn the relevant skills and methods to be exceptional teachers. They are then placed in high needs schools in underserved communities, where they work tirelessly to advance student outcomes.

We provide ongoing support to our fellows through regular professional development, coaching, and workshops, ensuring they continually improve their teaching practice. As our fellows complete their service, they become part of our alumni network, empowered to drive impact across sectors and advocate for education reform.
