Team Luca is a community united to raise awareness of cystic fibrosis and help fund efforts to find a cure. The group brings together parents, siblings, relatives, and friends who believe that CF does not define the people living with it. Instead, Team Luca is committed to defining the future of the disease through continued action and support.

Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening genetic disease that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system. Team Luca encourages people to learn about CF, take part in events, and contribute through donations. Its activities include running and community events, such as Team Luca’s first 5K Day in 2018, with event information and a race map available to visitors.

The team’s message is one of persistence: working, running, fighting, studying, researching, and trying until CF stands for “Cure Found.” Through awareness and fundraising, Team Luca aims to bring supporters together around its goal of beating cystic fibrosis.
