## Description

The Fjaler Theatre Festival is a performing arts festival held in Fjaler, with its 14th edition scheduled for 10–13 September 2026. Looking out towards the sea, the festival brings together artists from across the North Atlantic and presents work exploring, in different ways, the relationship between people and nature. Its programme features theatre, performance and live music, including productions by the national theatres of the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Audiences can also discover work by artists and companies from Iceland and other Nordic communities, alongside local and regional contributions.

The festival offers events for children and young people, as well as HEIME@Rivedal, an expanded music and performance festival staged in private homes. The wider programme includes social gatherings, workshops, exhibitions, film screenings, talks and a festival symposium focused on nature, values and possibilities for action. Other activities range from circus performances and outdoor theatre to documentary films and a public council meeting.
