## Description

Teesside Stroke Club is a volunteer-based charity serving adult stroke survivors across the Tees Valley. Its aim is to support physical and mental health through activities, while its objective is to help local members improve their health and wellbeing through exercise and socialising. The club runs three regular sessions every Thursday at Middlesbrough Sports Village. Sessions are scheduled for 10:00–11:00, 12:00–13:00 and 13:30–14:30; the 10:00 session is currently full. The club also shares a weekly newsletter, members’ stories and information about annual and regular events. Its website provides details about the committee, mentors and volunteers, specialist equipment, translations, and sponsors and supporters. Teesside Stroke Club is a registered charity, number 1166374, and welcomes enquiries by phone or text on 07591 498219 or by email at teessidesc@gmail.com. The group is based at Middlesbrough Sports Village on Alan Peacock Way, Middlesbrough, and also maintains a Facebook presence. Its work has received support from National Lottery players.
