## Description

**TEHDAS2 Brand Description**

TEHDAS2, or the Second Joint Action Towards the European Health Data Space, is an innovative project geared towards the harmonised use of health data across Europe. Initiated in May 2024 and running until December 2026, TEHDAS2 is a continuation of the successful groundwork laid by its predecessor, TEHDAS1, and collaborates with 29 European countries. Coordinated by the Finnish Innovation Fund, Sitra, the initiative is supported by the European Commission's EU4Health Programme.

This joint action aims to foster the secondary use of health data, which is critical for improving healthcare and research outcomes across the continent. By building on the joint European principles established in TEHDAS1, TEHDAS2 strives to enhance data sharing and accessibility. The initiative invites stakeholders to engage through forums and consultations, ensuring diverse input in shaping the European Health Data Space. TEHDAS2 stands as a significant milestone in reforms aimed at modernising health systems and promoting evidence-based health policies in the EU.
