## Description

Tekinder, or Teknoloji ve İnsan Derneği, is a Turkish nonprofit association focused on connecting technology with human and social needs. It works to promote research, development and activities in technology and engineering to international standards, with people at the centre. The association also aims to widen access to technology and support its effective use across society, particularly for women, young people, children and people with disabilities.

Tekinder brings together stakeholders through social and cultural events, and offers personal and professional training related to technology and working life. Its programmes include seminars, career events, interview-skills training and human-resources development initiatives. The association provides education scholarships to students in associate, undergraduate and graduate programmes who need financial support. It also assists technology students with equipment, project support and compulsory internship placements, and offers employment assistance and career-planning mentorship to university graduates.

Tekinder’s activities include organising processes for the Altın Mercek Technology Awards in Turkey.
