TelComm Credit Union, originally chartered in June 1940 as the Springfield Telephone Employees Credit Union, provides high-quality financial services to its members. Founded by Harry Duewel, a Southwestern Bell employee who recognized the importance of on-site financial services for telephone employees and their families, TelComm strives to embody the credit union philosophy of people helping people. Over the years, TelComm has expanded its membership by incorporating other credit unions such as Syntex, Springday, the News-Leader, and most recently, Springfield Catholic Credit Union. Today, TelComm serves over 23,600 credit union member-owners, including employees of select companies in Springfield and surrounding areas, as well as individuals residing or working in Greene, Christian, Lawrence, Webster, and Polk counties. With $266 million in assets, TelComm offers a wide range of services, including checking and savings accounts, loans, credit and debit cards, investment options, and convenient online and mobile banking features.
