## Description

Templários BTT is a mountain biking club based in Tomar, Portugal, operating through Clube Desportivo Templários BTT e Aventura. Founded in late 2012 by five friends united by a passion for cycling, the team has grown and currently has nine active members. Inspired by Tomar’s history and its connection to the Knights Templar, the club also aims to promote the region throughout Portugal.

Templários BTT organizes cycling events for riders with different interests and experience levels. Its Ultra Maratona Templários BTT (UMT) is a one-day, individually ridden ultra-distance event guided by GPS. Participants can ride mountain bikes, gravel bikes, or e-bikes. The club also runs the Raid Templários BTT, a one-day event with routes marked on the ground and distances of approximately 30 or 60 kilometres. Created in 2019, the Raid is scheduled to continue in 2025. The team previously organized the two-day Templários Extreme (TEX) GPS-guided event, which covered around 200 kilometres and concluded with its seventh edition in 2024.
