## Description

The Terra Foundation for American Art is a philanthropic organization dedicated to expanding narratives of American art and fostering intercultural dialogue. It supports cultural institutions worldwide through grants, collection loans, partnerships, and programs that encourage new perspectives, collaborative practices, and broader participation in art history. Its annual grant programs help organizations reinterpret permanent collections, plan and present temporary exhibitions, and convene conferences, workshops, and other gatherings for interdisciplinary exchange. The foundation also works with partners to identify artworks that can enrich institutional collections and inspire new stories.

The Terra Foundation Art Collection contains more than 750 artworks spanning 200 years. Through short- and long-term loans and object-sharing initiatives, these works are made available to cultural organizations. The foundation also operates the Terra Foundation Library for American Art, a public research library in Paris with more than 12,000 books and catalogues on American art and culture. Its website offers collection browsing, grant and loan information, research resources, news, and stories about projects and partners.
